Disliking Math Says You Are Expressive |
![]() You are an expressive, passionate, and spontaneous person. For you, math is way too cold a subject. You dislike how black and white it is. While some people have extreme passion for math, that would take far more work than you're willing to put in. What you're into changes like the wind, and you could never be forced to choose one thing. You have to be free to follow what you love. |

Those were the days
Remember those days when we didn't have Facebook, Twitter, MSN, Tumblr, weblogs, Skype and all sorts of that social-networking creations???? I certainly cannot imagine life back then.
Couldn't remember what day was it. Was PLANNING to comb my hair. So, as usual, reached for the BLUE comb. Then, something fell out of my wardrobe. It sounded like a stack of A4 papers, falling out. My reaction was super slow. Got totally confused. Spun around for a sec or two until I managed to grab the one of the handles. PHEW!!!!
When I bent down to see what was it that dropped out, immediately I went into HYPER MODE.
No, it wasn't A4 paper la, mangkuk! They were POSTCARDS written by Shu Ying/Ping.
Wahlau wei, cousins, it has been a GOOD 13 years! LOL. I think I saw one GARFIELD one, so cute :) The one that said: Dear ( insert my name here), ........... I am sorry but Shu Ping says your house is BORING :( :( LOL. It's okay... I've moved in to a NICER house now :P
Then, there's one more : This postcard is written by Shu Ying because Shu Ping don't know how to writing :P
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Sooooooooo funny. :) :)
Oi cousins, remember when we used to go visit Ah Ma every Sunday???? HAHAHAHA.... Then we would play cards with her while Uncle Keng Bee read Galaxie :P
Sigh, good ol' days. Will never forget how I used to WAIT for Mr Postman to stop at my house to deliver those cute postcards.
Now ar??? Different edi. Dah ada FB, MSN and everything. Postcards???? Our kawan2 will laugh at us wei. Am I right????

On the very last day of
the London trip :)
went to St James Park argh!!!! I wanna go there again!!!!!!!!!!!! Beats ANY of the parks we have here :P
Buckingham Palace was THE PALACE. It was next in our so-called itinerary :D
And of course...
who would forget BIG BEN?????
Stopped at Crest of London for souvenirs :) Yanita, if u still have the plastic bag... hehe...
Pretty much the same as everywhere else, as in the stuff they were selling.
Bought quite a lot, if u ask me. Kayanya aku :P
Then, went off to some restaurant. Looked like a BAR to me. Gosh, their dessert... what was it we ordered... was it choc fudge or brownie??? Came with ice-cream.... Can I have 1 more, pls???? *slurps*
Then, at night, decided to "have a look" at the books. Their bookshops here are so unlike the ones we have in M'sia. Well, the CLOSEST I would say it looked like??? Kinokuniya.
Ended up BUYING
the MISSING HARRY POTTER books at 7.99 Pounds (I think so)
Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper
and
C. Ahern's THE GIFT at half price...
:) :) :)
The last thing on the list: Hunting of t-shirts
some of the interesting ones that caught my attention:
F*** (insert search engine, popular one), ask me :)
my friend went to london and all i got was this lousy t-shirt
good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to london
Blogger is acting weird and therefore taking ages to upload pics... will do that again if i've the time... till then, take care. :)

So on 9/10/2009, the party started...
Work aside... Let's dive into a little bit of London. Yipee :) I was jumping for joy
1) because I managed to submit my assignment online a day before it was due :) (which would actually mean 4 am M'sian time)
2) because it was Ree Ree's birthday (HAHAHAHAHA)
So it would mean I had MORE TIME to EXPLORE the wonders of London and start jumping around like a fool... Hooray!!! YAY!!!
Dad was on half day. I had to tolerate his constant DRAGGING and BIG STEPS once again :( I dun like it when I walk with him. Sometimes, alone is way better than w/ someone.
Had some TEA and SCONES *drools* Go try them :D
Then, went to the National Art Gallery. You can Google/Bing it :) Slightly different from the Louvre but.... I think Louvre stands out MORE :D (Sorry UK-ians) Oh, they actually have drawing classes there. DRAWING CLASSES. Yeah, not kidding right now. ARGHHHHHHH!!! I wish I stayed a little longer there :)
Anyway, went off to Picadilly to SHOP for souvenirs and goodies or whatever you call it. TRIED fish and chips. Gosh, that restaurant, everything in it is RED. From tissue paper, serviette, table cloth and the seats. You name it, they're RED. They had the BEST fish and chips, I would say.
See the last picture??? Oh, erm.. we left the green bottle behind :P Sorry, green bottle, we forgot bout you. Hahahaha...
Yeah, so I was happy :) Went back and figured out how to stuff in all the GOODIES we bought. LOL. Had a tough time but oh well... it all went in somehow :D
Last-day post... :( :( :( Probably after my Monash results... HAIHHHHHHHH... STOP THINKING ABT RESULTS!!!!!!!!!

The bloke
Oh, I forgot to mention about this conversation I had w/ a British :) Yanita, pls say OMG 1000 times =D
Well, here's what happened. We were supposed to be picked up at the Victoria Train Station (or more specifically, the taxi stand outside it). But then, the taxi man told us to look out for Victoria Apollo Theatre (or was it Apollo Victoria???)
So, us being quite jakun, despite having MUM around(it's her second time here) didn't know what he was talking about. Mummy went to look for directions and I was waiting somewhere outside. Saw this lady, apparently from HK... and then she asked my MUM that dreaded question:
Is she your sister???
GAHHH!!! I know I look so much like her but.... oh well...
Okay, back to the story...
While I was waiting for my mum, I was actually looking around, just in case someone tried to be funny w/ me or... you get it, right?
Then, suddenly, this bloke probably in his 50-s came up to me, from across the road. He was smoking.
He: You alright?
Me: Yeah
He: Good
Me: =)
He: *walks off*
HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF THERE
Anyway, mum came back. Good thing :)
=D

The 'postponed' post :)
Time to move away from LOD's, court cases and endless phone calls. Now is the perfect moment to talk abt London :)
Since we were in the land of the English, communicating wasn't much of a problem unlike in France where I had to chip in somewhere and realize that I actually understand 0.01% of the whole conversation.
7/10/09: Since dad had his assignment, he left me n my mum to ronda around. :) Went to ask about the musicals and its showtimes a day before, and before you know it, we were on our way to WEST END :)
After early breakfast scooted off from East India(via Docklands Light Railway) to erm... I forgot where but i know we were very FAR OFF from Central London. So, it was really an adventure for us. The undergrounds were really efficient.
Thanks to good signage we made our way to Picadilly. Discovered that they were selling half-price tix. YAY!!! 40 pounds each :)
LES MISERABLES. Well, as miserable as the title may sound, I was actually starting to get BORED 45 mins into the show. OH MAN!!! I shd have listened to MS TAN(piano teacher) Why didn't we watch Phantom of the Opera???????????????? Haihzzz... wasted... Still, it was a great discovery for us.
When the show ended, didn't expect it to rain so heavily. Adui... Guess what??? We walked quite a bit and decided to "tumpang" in one of the starbucks. HAHAHAHA :) Had something to eat since we didn't really get the chance to eat during the musical.
Waiited for the rain to subside and then headed back to Canary Wharf. The journey was quite a long one since we didn't stay in Central.
Finally, we reached our destination. Then mum decided to go into this grocery store. I guess that means more FOOD. LOL. Saw some HALAL food there as well. I remember BUYING some candies and chocs and some other foodstuff. Haihh never open yet. Later lah...
What can I say??? The musical, not that worth it. But the rides we had to get there were worth more than anything else.

Sarah, the post that you wanted is here :)
So, after checking out of the hotel in Paris, waited for the taxi that was supposed to take us to Charles de Gaulle :) Never expected the day to come so fast. Dunno if i even enjoyed Paris. Oh well, I was kinda saving my energy for the London trip cuz it was gonna be a 6-day one.
He came late and so we arrived slightly later at the airport. No worries. We did not miss the flight :)
So at 11.35 we took off (Paris time) . British Airways, quite nice. The stewards thought we were Japanese! Haha. When he saw our boarding pass on the way in, he said: Oops, sorry wrong language :D
This time, the flight was an hour and 20 minutes although it felt much shorter than that. :P Arrived safely at Heathrow Airport close to noon. Btw London and Paris has an hr difference. Ooooohhh so nice... more time :)
The moment I stepped into it, Spice Girls was being played at one of the duty-free shops. The one that goes "Tell me what you really really want" Haha... if u get what I mean.
Canary Wharf was where we stayed. 40 minutes or so from Heathrow. The taxi fare... so expensive. LOL. Black cab summore. Haha.. Okay, I guess the best thing here, is to STOP converting cuz the POUND is very strong.
We didn't go out cuz we were too TIRED from all the packing and stuff. So, I was happy cuz this gave me time to get fascinated with our hotel room :)

My room :) Don't worry, I was on Facebook, not studying :D
Oi, stop showing off lar... XD
The best part? TV in the bathroom... MWAHAHAHAHAHA... Never in my life will i stay in such hotels again....
After late lunch, went back again.... Was drained completely. Dinner also same thing. After that when I switched my playlist on, my mum went: Weyh, listen to the radio lar.... balik2 keep playing the same song oni. HAHAHAHAHA...
There's this station called "HOT". Some of the songs I heard
Panic at the Disco's erm... what's the title again? The one that has "Closing of ....door" or sth like that. Hehe...
Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars
Lady Gaga's Just Dance
Beyonce's Beautiful Liar, Halo
Jay Sean's Down
J Hudson's Spotlight
Verdict? Songs almost the same... except the deejays lar, obviously. :)
Haih.... dunno what else to blog abt ady. Guess that's it for now.

Diyaa, you asked for it
Okay, as requested by Diyaa Mani of CIMP, I said ''hello'' to Eiffel Tower/ La Tour Eiffel. Hehe...
FORCED myself to walk eventhough my soles were literally aching. Could sense so my feet screaming. Aunty Jola would've said NOPE, stay home. LOL. But what's a holiday if I stayed in right??? Once again, took the metro and then the RER (the one we took on the way to Versailles) Guess the stop for La Tour Eiffel was slightly nearer. ZzzzzZzzzz.... Really the wrong day (5/10) to go for that trip. It was pouring heavily. Loads of people queuing up. I think there were at least a few hundred BUYING the entrance tickets. By the time we were in, couldn't take it. To Level 2 we went and started eating again. LOL. Croissants and tea. Only mum and dad went up. I was sitting down somewhere. Haihhh... Versailles totally killed me. Couldn't walk. Sigh. Pics above? Only from the base lar my dear :) But as you can see, I was happy :)
Lunch was quite late and so was dinner. Didn't really go anywhere else cuz we had to PACK FOR LONDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!

I wish I brought my French books here
A painting
The Marie Antoinette garden
The ride
Dancing fountain??? Quite a disappointment, actually
Upstairs of Marie Antoinette's house? Only mum went. Cuz was too tired to walk
Day 2 in France. So the itinerary for the day was Versailles, a place which was out of Paris. I kinda dislike the metro system they have here. Not forgetting the RER. Signboards/ directions were very very confusing. Because we went on our own, there were only some random people who passed by that could help us. Okay, so we assumed we were on the correct train to our stop and then from there we had to board another train. Until dad asked this lady who spoke every single word in French. ARGH!!!! That woman!!! I told her I didn't quite understand. Je ne comprend pas!!! :(
First of all, my French was pretty basic
Second, she spoke sooooo fast
Third, I don't think what she said was 'textbook' French. Pretty informal, huh?
Then, she kept pointing us the directions thru' the map on the train. And, too bad, I had to pretend I understood. Dad was like: Wah, luckily we asked her. And I went: Yalar, u ar, rush so fast for what? Keep pulling me oni??? =.=''
Went to ask around again and finally got on the right train this time. Phew! HUGE sigh of relief there. :) Changed to another line. Finally, Versailles!!! Woohoo!!!
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that we had to forgo breakfast cuz Versailles is DARN HUGE. The gardens were just..... WOW. Spent practically the whole day there. :)
Then at 4 pm-ish found some place to fill our empty stomachs. LOL. It was margarita pizza and erm roast chicken, I think??? I ordered apple juice which came in a bottle but wahlau, the minute I drank it, I was in LOVE with the apple juice.
By the time we got back it was already close to 8 pm. Rested at some benches near Arc de Triomphe. Mum went to buy mineral water cuz our room didn't have water. No coffee-making facilities. No nothing. Had to survive on mineral water for 3 days. Hahaha....
And due to the fact that I had an assignment, which to me did not make sense at all because I thought we CHOSE(group-based learning, individual assg) the wrong company(Management), I had to stay back and do my work. Plus my aching soles and sore feet. Definitely not a good idea for me to walk. As usual, parents not happy. What can I do???? Unless someone agrees to piggy back me lor...which I don't think is a good idea after all. :p
Look at it for a while. You'll see Arc de Triomphe. This was before I stayed back in the room.
So, guess what? I gave up on management and decided to do my Economics tutorial. Suddenly, dad came back with the baguet for me. He went off to Arc de Triomphe after that. See how he spoils me??? :D
It was not bad. Ham and cheese. But I didn't really like the fact that I had to bite so hard. Haha...
Anyways, mum and dad came back with McD because apparently it was the nearest. Unless you want sth from the cafe that sold the baguet. :) Btw, they don't call it McDonald's here in France. They call it McCafe. Slightly different. Otherwise the food is pretty much the same. You know, if I hadn't gone to Paris, I wouldn't have enjoyed the McChicken. The ones they have in M'sia... bleh... not as exciting.
Hmm... guess that's about it for Day 2. Next up: Eiffel Tower :D

The post that everyone wanted so badly
Okay, so after much negotiation with the lecturers (which btw, wasn't easy) I jetted off to Paris on the 2nd of October with my so-called compact laptop, because I had to finish my assignments there. Boo... How sad :( Well, I did most of them here except for management which required a little more time because it was an essay that nobody in this world would like to read :P
Anyways, enough of that. Went to the airport via taxi and then reached around 8.00 pm. Had nearly four hours of freedom :) Haha... not exactly lar... after the check-in and eating, drinking, going to the loo and all that.
Then, finally, at 11.35pm we were in the plane. I was as usual, excited :) 15 minutes later, the pilot announced that there was something wrong with the hydraulic???
So I thought: Aiyo... Zzzzzz... So boring.
Took off past midnight. You know the thing about long flights right??? It was gonna be a long 12hrs and 50 mins. Wanted to sleep but couldn't sleep.
Right... after much forcing myself to catch some sleep, eating, being bugged by the air stewardesses and watching Dreamgirls besides going to the lavatory for 5 times,
the pilot finally said:
Tuan-tuan dan puan-puan, kita telah tiba di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Paris, Charles de Gaulle. Waktu tempatan ialah jam 8 pagi.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at Paris International Airport. The local time is now 8 am
Then there was the translation in French :)
Oh btw there were two young chaps sitting right in front of us. They are sooooooo good-looking, man. :) :D :P
:) Well, when we reached the hotel it was already 9plus in the morning. It wasn't far from Arc de Triomphe :D

Me with my dad aka King Kong.LOL.

With my forever contemplative mum :P

So our first destination was Louvre Museum or Musee de Louvre :)
This is Mona Lisa :) Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece.
This is Mona Lisa :) Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece.

Outside the Louvre
Us eating at a cafe.
After all that, it was pretty late. Had dinner at a pathetic restaurant. Service was bad. I got the chance to use French here because the manager didn't understand WHY I wasn't ordering anything. I had to lie that I couldn't eat. LOL. Truth is, I don't fancy BIG portions and loved the idea of SHARING :) Practically everyone knows how much i eat. Am I right,Azree ??? :D Sarah would've probably whacked the scallops if she was w/ me :)
My dad being the smart alec wanted to sit outside not knowing that the temperature outside was 9 degrees. Well, slightly higher than Italy but still... WE WERE LITERALLY FREEZING. Gloves did not help. I was already wearing 3 layers plus the jacket... so 4!!! Gah... wrong decision to sit outside.
When the drinks came (tea) I actually gulped down the whole cup in one go. LOL. Couldn't stand the gushing wind. If not for the wind, it wouldn't be that bad.
In the end we searched for warmth and decided to walk around in one of the McDonald's. LOL. Isn't it ironic???
Walked out after a while and then went to this place where they were showing all the cars. Quite cool actually. They had some other stuff as well. Cute ones.
Decided to call it a day 'cause I was already half-dead. Hehe... Yeah so that was the end of day one.
End of this post? Yup. Thank you for reading. :)
Cute ones.

Suddenly, Sarah said she was having stomach ache... Suspicious yet???
Told Suzanne to teman her.
