I beg your pardon?

Linguistic habits are INDEED hard to break. Something I'm not used to saying esp. because I'm Malaysian/Asian is 'I beg your pardon'.

I'm too used to saying 'HUH' that everytime AFTER saying it, I feel STUPID because it isn't exactly polite esp. if you're communicating with the exchange students - somehow their 'PARDON?' comes in automatically and conveniently.

And having parents that are POWERHOUSE(S), it's natural that they remind you "Eh, you cannot say 'HUH', you know?" Yet, ironically, because we're Malaysians, it's so DIFFICULT to do away with the habit.

I must practise saying MORE of PARDON. Now when I think about it, I better. Seriously, saying 'HUH' too many times to your supervisor from the UK isn't very nice.

Went back to uni today to settle payment and enrolment. I'm glad that for ONCE, I ain't paying one huge sum.

Thought today would be insanely quiet since the usual semester hasn't begun officially. Well, at least, there's a SUMMER SEM bunch. Like, seriously, why torture yourself with summer sem? Haha. Anyway, I also saw and was easily fascinated by some good-looking exchange students from Down Under. It's like reliving sem 2, 2012. LOL.

I sincerely hope I know what's in store for me.

Don't wanna repeat what I did in my three years: sleeping at UNGODLY hours.

the latest I will sleep is 12am.

NO WAY! HONOURS DOES NOT BEGIN IN TWO WEEKS TIME!

WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE WATCHING TV, SLEEPING, BLASTING THE RADIO and READING???????????

So much to work on while on holiday and so much MORE to do when research phase begins.

And to think I might go on to postgraduate...

what was I thinking? Was initially "Meh, what's so nice about it?" I read so much, so many other books... I mean, they're all GOOD in their own way but, I've never come across such beautiful writing.

It's simply amazing how Martel can just name almost every animal, cram it into one page and yet still convey the meaning FLAWLESSLY.

Every page offers surprise. Like, as I read, I think: What? How is he going to continue the story?

I must sincerely thank the person who insisted I read it.

because not only does it help expand my vocab, it also helps in terms of my word retrieval and visual memory.

Pre-Honours post

I don't even know if anyone reads what I post anymore. First, it's because I'm lazy. Second, it's sort of pointless to detail everything that's happening in your life. Third, I'm slowly learning to be a RESPONSIBLE adult besides acknowledging and coping with my being a 'special kid'. 

I may have been labelled SLOW, DUMB and what not. Even till today, my parents' patience are tested and so is mine... but IF anything, being that 'special kid' taught me to be even more humble and courageous.

Seriously, nobody thought I'd be here... typing this post, first-deg grad... and soon enough, Honours.

Next thing in line: to NOT falter while studying and WRITING your thesis.
