OMG someone from Editorial Board just asked me to write FICTION! After like, GOD knows how many years! Personally, I prefer FACTUAL stuff but anyhow, it's going to be a life-changin experience and I am ready to drown into the wonders of fiction writing

Like, thinking of character names. How to have a plot that's not boring, ordinary and cliche. How to make sure university students actually read every single word I write.

This reminds me of a conversation I had about two sems ago with one of my lecturers.

He asked me what MY major was.
Told him : Writing.
Heh, but then I added that my parents wanted me to do mass communication.

Out of nowhere, that question popped up.

Do you have a blog?

I think my heart stopped for a minute when he mentioned the word 'blog'. I was thinking "Oh no! Nobody else is going to FIND my blog! Not a lecturer, at least!

When I smiled, he knew the answer. I didn't even have to say a LOUD and CLEAR 'YES'.

Then, he continued "Start from there-lah".

Oh, okay. Phew!

Said goodbye & walked out of  his room which was filled with MOVIE posters (obviously because he's a FILM & TV expert)

Oh well, i hope I'd write something more substantial than this for my uni magazine. Adoi. If not, they would probably ask me to stop contributing. D:
